Important: a signed proposal, purchase order or service agreement may add to or replace these general terms. If there is a conflict, the expressly agreed written document takes priority.
1. Website use
This website is operated by B Z J Digital for Technical Consulting in Doha, Qatar (“we”, “us” or “our”). You may use the website for lawful business and information purposes. You must not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, introduce malicious code, scrape protected material or misrepresent an association with us.
2. Consulting and digital-delivery services
No service begins solely because an enquiry is submitted. Scope, deliverables, programme, assumptions, exclusions, acceptance criteria, fees and responsibilities must be confirmed in writing. Reviews are performed against the information made available and the agreed requirements at the time of review.
Unless expressly appointed in writing, services do not include design authorship, engineering certification, statutory approval, site verification, construction supervision or approval on behalf of a client or authority.
3. CAD-to-BIM work
Models are developed from client-supplied approved information and to the agreed scope, Level of Detail and Level of Information Need. Conflicts, gaps and assumptions may require client clarification. A converted model is not an as-built record unless site verification and as-built responsibility are expressly included.
4. Client responsibilities
The client is responsible for providing lawful access to complete, current and authorized source information; identifying applicable requirements; responding to requests for information; reviewing interim outputs; and making final project, design and approval decisions. Delay or inaccuracy in supplied information may affect programme, price and output reliability.
5. Quotations, fees and payment
Quotations remain valid for the period stated in the offer. Fees, currency, taxes, deposits, milestones, payment dates and reimbursable costs are defined in the applicable commercial document. Work may be paused when an undisputed payment is overdue, subject to the agreed contract and applicable law.
6. Confidentiality
Each party should protect confidential information received for the engagement and use it only for the agreed purpose. Confidential project files should be transferred through an agreed secure method, not the public enquiry form. Legal disclosure obligations and information already lawfully public are excluded.
7. Intellectual property
Pre-existing methods, templates, code, libraries and know-how remain the property of their original owner. Rights in project-specific deliverables are defined in the written engagement and may depend on full payment. Digital tools are licensed, not sold, and are governed by the Digital Product Licence.
8. Third-party platforms
Third-party software and cloud platforms are governed by their owners’ terms, availability and licensing. We are not responsible for changes, outages or restrictions imposed by those providers. Clients must maintain valid licences and appropriate access rights.
9. Professional reliance and liability
Outputs support informed decisions but do not remove the client’s duty to use competent professional judgement. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, liability will be limited as stated in the relevant written engagement. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricts mandatory consumer rights.
10. Suspension and termination
Either party may suspend or terminate an engagement in accordance with the applicable written agreement. The client remains responsible for properly completed work, committed costs and applicable cancellation charges up to the effective date.
11. Governing law
Unless another valid written agreement states otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar and disputes are subject to the competent courts of Qatar.
12. Contact and updates
Questions may be sent to info@bzj.qa. We may update these terms when services, law or website functionality changes. The effective date will be updated.
